United Way of Wapello County announces 2017 fundraising goal- $500,000
The United Way of Wapello County has announced its' fundraising goal for the fiscal year 2017. The nonprofit will reach a $500,000 goal. The board of directors have determined that this goal should be attainable and it is the hope of everyone involved with the organization to surpass the goal this year.
The United Way thanks all its' donors and volunteers. We could not hit this goal without the support from our community partners.

ALICE in Wapello County
The United Way of Wapello County partnered with the United Ways of Iowa to compile a report which shows 39% of households in Wapello County live below the ALICE threshold. In Iowa, 381,226 households, 31% of the state's total, are unable to afford the basic cost of living.
