The United Way of Wapello County announced in August the partnership between numerous community organizations around the Cradle, College, Career Initiative. On October 20th, the Ottumwa community came together to learn more about this initiative at the College Changes Everything Summit at Bridgeview Center. Experts presented on a number of topics to help the public learn more about what we can do as a community to increase college access for everyone.
United Way of Wapello County wanted to thank the numerous business entities and community organizations that have agreed to work together to ensure college access for everyone. These partners include: Ottumwa Community Schools, Great Prairie Area Educational Agency, Indian Hills Community College, Sieda Community Action, Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation, Ottumwa Economic Development, City of Ottumwa, Job Corps, John Deere Ottumwa Works, Iowa Workforce Development, Buena Vista University, Iowa State University Extension Service and a variety of business and industry associates.
Below is the video which debuted at the Summit. We encourage the community to share this message with everyone. We truly believe college changes everything!
